Just a few snaps from the Cosmo “Queens of Twitter” shoot that happened this morning. It was an honour to be shot with some fabulous twitter personalities, including @laurenbeukes, @styleguideCT, @liezelv and @texxonfire. They dressed me in this fab spangled jacket from Slate, Levi’s Curve ID jeans and these sky-high leopard print heels. Rawr.

Pictured below is @StyleGuideCT mid-shoot, checking out her pics

and with makeup artist extraordinaire @SLKaye after she’d made me pretty :)

It was a lot of fun. The Cosmo ladies are great. I’ll give you guys a heads up on which issue it will be in.

Ran 10kms of this. Quickest 10kms you'll ever run...
Had a very chilled weekend. Still trying to recover from this ravaging head cold so that we can scuba dive. Nearly there girls! Did a lot of shopping. Actually, mostly just shopped. Went for a chilled 10km run on the prom. Ate some sushi with my girl Dave. Pretty much standard weekend then.

Dave. Rocking Chanel shades. For men.

Met a siamese twin pineapple! There are miracles everywhere!

Saw this car in Hout Bay. Only in Hout Bay. The top line says: "Says the audible voice of god"
I really wish I smoked because then this would be a real ’sign’? And I could get overwhelmed by the meaning and magic latent in everything? But I don’t. Sigh.

Spotted my model friend Lauren looking silly pretty in Woolworths. Stunning girl!

Been spotting zebra print everywhere, this Jimmy Choo creation a case in point. CTG is all over the zebra print.

Woolies also rocking the zebra print.

Loving the leather-but-not jacket vibes at Adidas originals. Great for spring.

Also managed to snap up these gorgeous leather summer shoes at Country Road. Country Road is just bursting with delights right now. We went a bit bonkers there.

Also got this trench. From Trenery. Best thing in the store. Light enough for spring, camel enough for next season, and probably the next too.

And then obsessed over this bag. Love the idea of green. Am drawn to it, no doubt because is calm and healing. But had to step away. You have to step away at some point?
Also heard that CTG has made it into the Top 2 in the Best New Blog Category for the SA Blog Awards. Pretty neat! Thank you to all of you who voted for us - we really do appreciate it! The awards are next Saturday 25 september at one of CTG’s regular haunts – One&Only Cape Town. Excited! Looks like I’ll be wearing Dress Number 3 too. Did you have a good weekend? How summery is Cape Town starting to feel? Can’t wait to do the first proper beach day.

Thank you Paddy for sending in this funny pic – LOVE the headline they went with for this image – ‘Wembley Square has never looked this good’. They’re referring to their renovations, of course, but I’m okay with them referring to them just below the pic of me. And a huge big thanks to Dylan for sending me ‘the UK equivalent of CTG’, armpits and all! Hilarious!

Funny my friends. Hey if you send in a pic of yourself and a Virgin Active pic featuring CTG I’ll print it out, autograph it, scan it in and send it right back to you. And that’s a promise!

A few weeks ago I had the honour of being shot by photographer Andrew Brauteseth for his Portrait of a Nation project. Mildly intimidating since the subject before me was Helen Zille. Even further intimidating because Andrew was on this ‘extreme natural’ trip and wouldn’t let me put on makeup (I did manage to get away with a little eyeshadow). Despite this I went ahead bravely. Am hardcore like that. Makeup, No makeup, whatevs. I think the shots came out really nicely, the one below being the final selection for the project (click to see).

Some of the other shots we quite liked:

There are some very funny shots which I’ve not included here because they just open up too many strange questions, but I will state categorically that this was one of the funnier shoots I’ve been on. Thanks Andrew! Good times!

Since a lot of people have asked who shot and did the styling on this Nomu competition poster, I thought I’d follow up. Samantha Laura Kaye was the makeup artist and stylist on this job – click here to see exactly what products she used on me. You’ll want to get hold of that studio finish foundation – it’s amazing. The photographer here was exceptional Robert Miller – CTG’s official photographer, FYI – and he sent through some of these out takes and behind the scenes shots.

Things are still chilled. Like the champagne.

Twitter break. Very NB

Champagne break. Possibly even more NB.

Bubbly kicking in. Getting kicky.

Getting a little coy.

Getting loose. Wild, even.
Too much fun! Sam and Robert make it very easy for CTG’s plebby un-model-like self to play Kate Moss-Kate Moss. Looking forward to some more interesting shoots coming up…
