Guys, we all remember this wonderful video where SA comedian Don Packett pretends to be the Head Parlotone and swings around his chicken leg. Well you can catch him and Jon Vlismas – who is also hilarious – at the Breadline Africa comedy show at the Grand Daddy Hotel on 2 September 2010. It’s being hosted by ridiculously good-looking Richard Hardiman, whom you listen to every morning on 2oceansvibe radio, no doubt.
(Hey does ANYONE listen to ‘old radio’ anymore? Like over the ‘airwaves’? Gosh, that’s right up there with ‘dialup modems’, yes? Hey remember when you actually had to ‘fiddle with a knob’ so you could ‘get a signal’? Mindblowing!)
Anyway Breadline for Africa is a charity that is close to CTG’s heart, and hilarity aside, the funds raised from this will go to sending 120 underprivileged kids to the Breadline For Africa Annual Seaside Party. This gets held every year and they take kids who have never seen the sea, to go sea the sea. Which is a very meaningful initiative. Please just imagine never having seen the sea?
