LTJC feat Finch

Oh hello there

Oh dear oh dear oh dear. Just the first pic induces heart explosions. Brace for second pic of Life & Times of Josie Cat. Coming. Now.

zzzzzzzzzzz

I know, I know. The worst is yet to come though…

Shew. Can you handle it? Am barely coping...

I don’t really know what to say anymore. It’s just ridiculous that anything should be this cute. Josie Cat’s Guest Cat today, Finch, also happens to be exceptionally cute, a warning. Meet Finch.

Finch lives in the flat above Josie. Although younger than Josie by a couple of weeks, Finch is fortunate enough to have more liberal parents who are happy for her to roam free with her new collar. She’s a very sweet little girl and as fluffy as ever. Sadly, Finch and Josie do not get along but that doesn’t mean that Josie’s mom can’t pet Finch or take cutesy photos of her when Josie isn’t looking.

I haz bag, will travel

Interesting fact: Finch goes on road trips with her parents. Whenever they go away, they take Finch with. Amazing, right?

'Cat of the road'.

Travelling cat!! It does my head in! Finch’s mom happens to be a fashion designer – check out her stuff at ILoveLeroy. Thanks for sending her in Em! xx Send your CapeTownCat to CTG – editor@capetowngirl.com.

They told me that they once had to phone around, asking all the guest houses in the area they were visiting, if cats are allowed. This was the first time that most of the guest house owners had received such an unusual request. Naturally.

LTJC feat Pippa and Duma

What is dis ting?

It’s been a while since we got our Life & Times of Josie Cat aka Cape Town Cat on. No reason in particular, CTG just hasn’t been ‘feeling it’, but I’m totally feeling it again.  Josie Cat has been faced with a whole new conundrum - a collar. You see, Josie Cat is kept indoors, but she longs to be able to go outside to play with her cat friends in her block. So Emma has been slowly introducing the whole collar vibe, but Josie Cat No Sure!

Josie Cat No Sure!

No thanks!

As Josie Cat grapples with this common feline existential dilemma, she presents from beneath her furry hidey hole 2 very worthy CTC’s who belong to Stella and Stuart, Duma and Pippa!

Meet Duma. Keep breathing.

And Miss Pippa. Bless!

As you can see, a lot of this sort of thing happens in Stella’s household:

Just lollin' out

As does this sort of nonsense:

I mean really. Have you EVER in your life.

Stella and Stuart, thank you for sharing your babies! Really, if your heart hasn’t melted into a million little pieces of goo by now, you might just be a reptile. CapeTownCat is back friends. Send your babies to editor@capetowngirl.com. Do it for CTG’s readers. Help make the internet a warmer, happier, cuddlier place.

xxCTG

LTJC feat Meira (RIP)

So Life & Times of Josie Cat is back with more sordid photos of Josie doing things that really should be made illegal in some sort of kitteh capacity. See these outstretched paws. Do you feel the urge to chew them? Chomp them? Ingest them so you are somehow ‘one with the paws’?

Pawspawspawspawspawspaws

See this kitten-splitz. Does it make you want to eat your own hair just to *deal* with the situation? How do y’all cope with Josie Cat? I find I have to take a moment to compose myself after looking at her before I move on with life. It’s as if suddenly, what’s really important comes in to focus, namely ‘dem paws’. Pray for strength. Whatever your god. Pray.

Not just paws but paw PADS! *faints*

Today Josie has a very special Guest Cat to present, who is utterly tragically no longer with us. Meira belonged to Bruce and Lesley, and they loved her very very much. Be warned, this picture might drive you insane. Your eyes may tear up with blood that has welled from your beating, overstimulated heart.

Meira (may she RIP)

Writes Bruce:

“our dearest Miera; got taken by a dog while exploring the neighborhood. she was brave, maybe too brave.

she was my christmas present. but more an addition to our life.

we held her dead and cried.

we still miss her 4 years down the line…

rip, little m. “

Totally heart-melting in every way. We love you l’il M, wherever you are. Can we please take a moment of silence for her.

Thank you.

Keep your Cape Town Cat pics coming! Send them to editor@capetowngirl.com.

LTJC feat Barbara and Bernard

12 May 2010, Posted by Cape Town Girl in LTJC, cape town cats, 2 Comments

CapeTownCat time y’all! And we’re basically dealing with something quite serious today. Namely Josie Cat has been sleeping with her front paws tucked between her back paws. Why, y’all? Is she trying to destroy our lives by being ’so cute you want to smash your face into a wall’? Is she trying to ‘disrupt the economy’ via causing a severely distracted workforce, all pouring over  facebook photos of ‘dose littie bittie kittie pads’? Whatever havoc JC has decided to wreak here upon us at CTG, she is so far succeeding at it. Please, bear witness to my pain:

Front. Paws. Between. Back. Paws. Head. Explodes

All this chaos aside, JC is very VERY proud to present today’s GUEST CATS, namely Barbara and Bernard, who belong to reader H. Says Reader H, “Barbara and Bernard are my best friends. Every morning I make some stairs for them to climb up and they sit in my cupboard and chat to me while I get dressed.” Please enjoy this little video of Barbara indulging in some serious ‘me-time’:

“Bernard and Barbara are brother and sister cats. And they love each other very much.” - Reader H

Cuddles in the sunshine

Barbara shows some tongue

Oh just sitting in a cupboard..

I particularly ADORE Bernard’s little overbite there. Do you see it? God it’s cute. Kills me. Please keep your kittehs coming for Cape Town Cat! Send them to editor@capetowngirl.com – I will feature your bebe, promise! xx

I know you’ve been positively gagging for the next installment of The Life & Times of Josie Cat aka CapeTownCat, and here is it. Let us catch up with our star, Josie Cat. According to Emma, Josie Cat has been getting up to her usual tricks, except now she is a lot bigger. But she is no less cute. Please observe:

Just hanging out here. Breakin' hearts.

Wow, we really are not sure how Emma copes. I might explode if I was faced with that every day. Gracious star that she is, Josie Cat would like to introduce you to 2 very special Cape Town Cats, namely the acrobatic circus kittehs, Bubble & Grappa!

Bubble & Grappa belong to Carol & Luca (click their names to follow them on twitter). Bubble is ‘the prettiest cat in the land’, to quote Carol, and Grappa is Luca’s bebe. Bubble was a surprise birthday gift to carol from Andrew Brauteseth & Candice, and it’s soon going to be her birthday, where carol assures us there will be champagne. And hot dogs. Please, try to control yourself:

LTJC part 2 feat Cinammon

Josie Cat time! JC been up to her tricks. First Attack Cat – those twisty back ears are a dead giveaway! I love it when they do this! This is a very special moment for Emma to have caught on camera:

All that attack means sleepy cat. Sleepy where its warm, namely the macbook. Ah Josie. Silleh kitteh.

JC presents… CTG Guest Cat!

Meet Cinammon who, in his owner Rowan’s words. is ‘a big spazz, but he’s cool’. Please enjoy these pics of him lolling around his potplant! Brings the lols.

Me Mr Cinnamon cat

Me lollin round in a plantie plant...

We love Cinammon Rowan! He’s awesome. You guys can follow Rowan’s Posterous here… I recommend you check him out, in his words he’s stuck ’somewhere between adland and the real world’. If you have a fabulous kitty like either of these 2, send them in to editor@capetowngirl.com and he or she will be featured as Guest Cat on the next Life & Times of Josie Cat! I’ve already received some truly fabulous cats, so best you not make your CT Cat feel left out & send in your snaps. xx
