Not only does it show what’s in CTG’s handbag on p114, but it also has a truly beautiful winter fashion story and a great story on girl power through the ages called The Female Factor. I also loved the history of Jackie Burger’s hair, and Chris Viljoen’s farewell article – this makes me very sad, as I always enjoy his writing. I believe he is going to Sarie to become their fashion director. Good luck to him! How lovely is the Missibaba bag featured below?
You should get yourself a copy of the May Cosmopolitan mag- you’ll see me perched in a bauble, clutching my iPhone (and pointing to a fellow TQ’s shoes no doubt) in the Cosmo Queens of Twitter feature. We had such a lot of fun on the shoot, a big thank you to the team who made it so. LOVE those leopard print heels – they’reZoom if you’re wondering. Jeans are Levi’s Curve ID. Sparkle top is from Slate. Makeup done bySLKaye.

Just a few snaps from the Cosmo“Queens of Twitter” shoot that happened this morning. It was an honour to be shot with some fabulous twitter personalities, including@laurenbeukes,@styleguideCT, @liezelv and @texxonfire. They dressed me in this fab spangled jacket from Slate, Levi’s Curve ID jeans and these sky-high leopard print heels. Rawr.
Pictured below is @StyleGuideCT mid-shoot, checking out her pics
and with makeup artist extraordinaire @SLKaye after she’d made me pretty :)
It was a lot of fun. The Cosmo ladies are great. I’ll give you guys a heads up on which issue it will be in.
hehe – this is a sweet video where we chat about why we decided to pose naked for Marie Claire. It’s quite a thing posing naked, let me tell you. Luckily it wasn’t too chilly, although it was windy, so there were quite a few shots where well, let’s just say my hair wasn’t covering what it was supposed to cover. Thankfully they chose one of the more modest shots ;) The other blogger ladies I posed with are super cool – check out their blogs if you haven’t already. La Muse writes PopYaCollar and Kim Gray has her own Style blog. We had a lot of fun – and a few glasses of bubbly.
The Issue goes on sale today and a portion of the proceeds are going to the NSPCA to help animals who are abandoned or unloved or who get mistreated. If you would like to make a donation over and above buying a magazine, click here – you can do a simple electronic transfer.
So back in December Brutal Fruit brought Kim & Khloe Kardashianto South Africato launch their new flavour, the deliciously delightful Cheeky Cranberry (click here for CTG’s coverage of the launch party), and we were thrilled to be invited to come and chat to the two entrepreneurs. Kim & Khloe were great fun, and we chatted about all sorts of things, including blogging(they both use Y-Frog for images), one-shoulder dresses(Kim & CTG are both big fans it seems), Birkin Bags(Khloe had just got a gorgeous purple one from Lamar) and this hilarious Ninja-turtle-themed Kardashian family Christmas photo I dug up:
We’ve finally got our act together and are thrilled to be able to show you the interview. With much further ado, here’s the tape. Like a pro, CTG manages to mess up within the first 5 seconds of filming. Anyway, enjoy!
Special thanks to Shaun Blomkamp for filming and editing.
This is a fun little behind the scenes video from the Marie Claire Naked shoot. Check out Marie Claire’s blog for more. Remember it goes on sale next week. Get it!!
Hurricane Vanessa posted somepreviews of the Marie Claire Naked Issue, coming out next Wednesday 16 February. We’re in it along with two of our favs – Kim Gray and PopYaCollar’s La Muse. We had great fun shooting this – we actually shot it twice! And we had a very enthusiastic car guard watching our, um, cars. The doggy in the pic belongs to photographer Mark Cameron, and her name is Viva. She’s husky cross Golden Retriever, and just the sweetest thing ever. Just look at those fluffy paws. The Marie Claire Naked Issue is in aid of the SPCA, and since we are a HUGE fan of beasties here at CTG (whippet updates, Cape Town Cat), we’d love it if you supported it.
