CTG has written a relationship column for GQ magazine, and has appeared in the March 2011 Marie Claire naked edition in aid of the SPCA. Cosmopolitan editor Vanessa Raphaely named CTG as one of her favourite blogs to read, and in late 2010 after being around only 9 months, CTG was named one of SA’s 10 favourite female bloggers. CapeTownGirl was named runner-up in the Best New Blog category in the SA Blog Awards in 2010, and CapeTownGirl has also attracted the attention of international celebrities, including the Kardashian Brutal Fruit team, who invited CTG as the only online media presence to interview Khloe and Kim Kardashian while they were in South Africa. CapeTownGirl was recently voted as one of Cosmopolitan Magazine’s “Queens of Twitter” and appeared as such in the May 2011 issue, and has received coverage in Fair Lady, Elle, Runner’s World and Destiny magazines.

CTG is known for her love of the French Macaron. Local patisserie Daniela’s even created a Vanilla-infused, Champagne-flavoured macaron, inspired by CTG.
